The performance saw the duo expand their live show to include visual as well as auditory stimulants including lazers, mirrors and smoke rarely seen at live speed. The band’s fourth studio album “Codename: Rondo” appeared in October 2010 promoted by a show at Cedar Park Centre in Texas. The record was supported with a national tour including dates at California’s Coachella and New Orleans’ Voodoo Experience. Later in 2007 Ghostland Observatory released the EP “Twin Cities” on Trashy Moped ahead of their third full-length “Robotiqe Majestique” in 2008. In 2007 the duo made their television debut performing the song “Sad Sad City” on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”, and released their second live album “Live At Lollapalooza”. The band subsequently played at the 2006 Austin City Limits festival, which was recorded and later released as the live album “Austin City Limits: Music Festival 2006'. A year later the sophomore “Paparazzi Lightning” arrived earning a number of positive reviews, despite the saturated electronica/indie market in which they are based. The pair made their debut on the album “.eat.meat” issued by Turner’s Trashy Moped Recordings in 2005. Prior to forming Ghostland Observatory vocalist Aaron Behrens had played in the bands Dismount and Walking Helix, the latter with future Ghostland Observatory drummer/synth player Thomas Ross Turner.
